The American Reader

  • Fiction - In Store
Mar 19 2013 7:00 pm
The American Reader is a handy and hardy compendium of new literature, critical writing, and publishing-related discussions. A bright young magazine with less than 4 issues published, it's already being called "A literary magazine that encapsulates the spirit of the age," “a gleaming new lit journal", and  “the next Paris Review or n+1”.

Houston's legendary Brazos Bookstore is partnering with The American Reader for an evening of readings of favorite stories and poems from the pages of the magazine, including work by Anne Carson, Joyce Carol Oates, Paul Muldoon, and Stephen Dixon. This is one literary event you won't want to miss!
