Danielle

Danielle DuBois Dimond was born in Amarillo, raised in Dallas, given regular injections of cool in Austin, and got to Houston as fast as she could. She’s been a Houstonian for almost eight years now - 1/3 of her life! - after having attended both Rice University, where she received a BA in English, and the University of Houston, where she received her MFA in creative writing. She recently married Andy Dimond, one of Brazos’s extremely part-time employees.

Danielle’s first love is fiction - especially the offbeat, experimental, and translated - but she’s also a fan of graphic novels, poetry, memoirs, fashion magazines, books about art, music, film, religion, history, science, and travel, billboards, the backs of cereal boxes, and hieroglyphic tablets from the 2nd century BC. She is Brazos’s resident inventory specialist, so she’s the girl to find if you wish something were stocked in the store that isn’t.
